6x6 but AAV on an OS longer than 5 years is calculated at 5 years for compensatory purposes. 6x6=36 /5 = 7.2 AAV.

Like all your plans, I would try $5m for Thomas. He is good buddies with Tkachuk so maybe that might entice Matt to sign long term in Calgary?? Not sure if Boston will bite on the Monahan trade but it would be worth a try.

I think if he stays healthy he will be a 1st line center for about 15 teams in the league

I doubt that, I like Thomas but he's a 40 point middle 6er
