At this point I rather have Lehkonen than Kessel straight up
MTL forwards who CAN’T play defense : Drouin Hoffman Anderson Caufield Gallagher and Toffoli is meh
That leaves Lehkonen our best PK guy followed by Suzuki (who doesn’t play that much on the PK to spare is minutes) Evans Armia and Byron (injured for a couple months) At least we get Dvorak so we can do PK#1 Lehky-Dvorak PK#2 Armia-Evans PK#3 Suzuki-Toffoli

I can assure anyone who is unsure that Drouin won't be a Red Wing as long as Yzerman is there!

I'm with you on the rest, but Gallagher can't play defense? Where's that come from?

Gallagher is horse**** defensively, and it goes the same for Tatar. Danault carried them so hard they had good analytics but eyes test, omg they are bad. Gallagher is not worse than Drouin and Andy but he follows them

Gallagher has been a positive player 5 on 5 his entire career, with the exception of 17/18 (where the whole team bombed and we drafted KK 3rd overall).
That's regardless of deployment or linemates, and for most of that time he's been one of our best forwards at zone exits as well.
Eye test might fail simply because our defensive strategy largely ignores controlled exits (and therefore winger outlets), but Gallagher is good at getting the puck and when he does, he often gets it out.

I agree on the last part outside that he is good at GETTING the puck. He doesn’t know how to read the play. But when he gets it, most of the time he gets out but still, he is creating turnovers sometimes. Same for Armia, but he has a better positioning. Anyway Gallagher is not really good defensively, but it’s ok he works hard

we both are happy with the player we have, you need more leddy than drouin so for that we should pay more to get leddy i agreed.

but people don't know yet why drouin struggle mentally and people who want to trade are probably ignoring what is going on, get mad and impatient and want to "get rid of him" ; short temper reaction
