EDM is a massive overpay giving a good prospect for a 3rd and ~500k in dead cap space. Thats like someone saying give me peterka and ill take hagg from you.
CGY is a massive difference in value. But at least you were consistent considering the blues trade. Tarasenko has very little value. Hes worth imo a b prospect rn. His contract combined with the plethora of question marks surrounding him make him a tough pickup for any gm. His recent play has also driven his price down.
STL takes that and runs. Idk much about alexandrov but i do know hes not better than perunovich. That gives me a cap on his potential value and what i will say is its a massive underpay. You are still thinking of the 2017 tarasenko who was an elite scorer and a good 2 way player. That player is no longer the player that youre getting. Could he end up back at being that player? Sure. But right now thats not what he is. On pace for 14 goals last year, it leads to a lot of questions that can only be answered by him playing.
CAR probably accepts. Moving gardiners contract even though he will probably be on ltir this whole year could still be a priority. With a potentiall necas OS incoming from Montreal, ensuring the removal of rhis contract for that low of a price is something i think theyd be all over.
FLA probably accepts just bc of the value, but theres no way they play him as theres no room for gaudreau. But i can see them accepting just to flip him to somewhere else.
I dont see MTL making that deal. The value is there but they just dont need wingers in the slightest. Tbh i have no idea what they would do.
