Seeing as Dvorak's value was a 1+2, Hertl's value has got to be around there if not higher. The only thing Dvorak has on Hertl is contract term.

Wild take this deal all day. Two years ago it was fair, but the thing with Khovanov is he has proven to be a very good player if the coach knows how to handle his ego but if his feelings are hurt he is a AHLer at best. Wild will coach him up in the AHL and hopefully figure out how to manage him but if I'm Doug Wilson I'm not interested.

The Wild would definitely accept. This return is lower than what Dvorak got

This entirely depends on what Hertl costs to extend and whether the Wild can make that work. I doubt they'd be willing to give up assets under team control for years to come for a rental on a year they're likely not serious contenders.

If he comes with a reasonable extension for sure. If it’s for 1 year of hertl that doesn’t help much.
