Why does everyone see Byron as a dump? lmao the guy is an established depth forward with leadership qualities as he wears the "A" and his contract is fairly reasonable for most teams looking for a 3rd line winger type player.. So sick of the moron keyboard warriors on this site who have no knowledge to contribute other than the mass opinion of the other irrelevant idiots on the site. Formulate your own opinions and come up with something original ffs. Guaranteed MTL won't pay to "dump Byron" or even to "dump Drouin". I expect Hab haters everywhere but at least have some hockey knowledge or new insight that doesn't make you look like a jack*ss. Happy Sunday bud.

What does drouin have to do with anything. I see the homer instincts coming out in you but the reason everyone says byron is a cap dump is bc you dont pay 3.4 million for leadership.
Youre like the story of the old couple where he calls her and says "be careful, theres someone driving the wrong way down the highway youre on" so she says back "its not 1 person its every person." You disagree with everyone and are trying to convince everyone else that youre right. Has it ever occured to you that maybe the hundreds of other people might be right as opposed to just you.

So, how many teams are looking to overspend in a frozen cap world for a guy coming off a season he was put on waivers, had 16pts, and is making $3.4m, oh, and is also injured? But, sure, totally a guy MTL would trade for had they the opportunity right now....

Isn't it strange he is the guy MTL fans are trying to trade away?

This is spot on. Byron went thru waivers and no one wanted 3.4M for 2 yrs for Free. Drouin there is something wrong as he keep leaving teams he is on. 2 yrs 5.5M no one wants that.

The thing about drouin is there is upside. I dont see him as a cap dump, he would be worth a mid round pick (3rd if bergevin gets lucky) to a team willing to take a shot.

He has to show he can play a whole year without going away to have any trade value. the greatest ability is Availability and Drouin is not that.
