You’ve overpaid Fox, underpaid Zibanejad and Hertl

smh. You need to add about 2m to both Zib and Hertl's contracts.

Highly doubtful Columbus trades for a goalie. Plus they would get a better return sending him else where, like Buffalo or Ottawa.

Would be a bit of a shocker if the difference in Dvorak and Hertl trade was just Julien Gauthier...

One (at the deadline) would have two months, the other is signed for 4 years. That's why.

Please tell me you mean total. Because neither of these players deserves over 8m.

Zib could get the Couts contract and Hertl the Landeskog contract.

No one cares what you think they deserve. The bar as been set by Danault and Kotk. Both of these guys got 6m contracts and are no where near the players that Zib and Hertl are.

Landeskog did his team a favor because he could have gotten way more on another team but he wanted to stay there.

I expect Zib to get 8.5 to 9m and Hertl to get 8 to 8.5m on their next contracts.

Hertl is just way better then Dvorak, plain and simple. And if you'd want to extend him it would take way more to get him.

The KK contract is irrelevant to the contract scheme in the league. And Danault made 5.5m, not 6m.
I can't see hertl making above what I gave Zibanejad in this build, and the fact that I'm getting lambasted by people for being 600k off is absurd. Hertl simply is not an 8m player, especially when the market isn't kind to forwards right now. I can see Zibanejad getting an 8x8, but again, being 750k off is enough to suggest the change, not attack the person.

Your evaluations of their worths are just as far off in the other direction as mine are.

I don't disagree, my point is that having term makes a big difference as opposed to a rental. I would be willing to swap Gauthier for Kravstov (who I don't think has as much true value as fans perceive).

Kravstov, 2022 1st, and a 2022 2nd? I'd take that in a heart beat.

Honestly depends on his development thru the season. If he breaks out, then he isn't being moved. If not, then I don't find it out of the picture to move him at the deadline, which is where I have this trade taking place.

Reality is, thats what hes getting paid, and a lot of agents will use that to their advantage to get their players paid.

He's getting paid that because that was demanded to steal the guy. He's completely unique case in today's NHL. No one thinks he's setting bar for anything at this point.
