I wouldn't mind trading a pick and a young player for a fully decent 2C. Schmaltz and Dvorak are very similar in terms of impacts, largest difference is the contract, so there should be

I'd say the incentive is that Schmaltz salary jumps big for the last 3 years. His salary is $7.5M, $8.45M, and $8.5M. I think we can agree that he hasn't yet had a season worthy of $7.5M. It's actually pretty similar to the OEL type trade...sans Garland of course because he was the real prize of that trade.
