CBJ fans - What would Gavrikov cost

Description

The Panthers need to strengthen their LD and Gavrikov could be a nice addition. Maybe he could even play alongside Ekblad.

Zito has strong connections to Columbus, so Gavrikov most likely is one player on his radar.

What's his asking price? If CBJ is heading to a rebuild, would they be interested in prospects like, say, Heponiemi?

Additional Details:

I don't know his value, this is just shot from the hip. He had nice stats during his rookie year (this year they weren't too pretty, but that could be thanks to his surrounding cast)

He looked nice when he played against Fla, I think he could flourish in the right setting.

Oh, really? In that case, it's not worth it. Pens fans on this site are selling Dumoulin for a 1st and scraps and I, personally, would value Dumoulin over Gavrikov

I think the difference in the two is pretty minuscule and that being said Vlad is younger and cost less money, so take Dumoulin's value and sweeten it a bit

I haven't really thought of trading Vlad so i'm not sure what his value would be. I'd say a late 1st round pick (like Colorado's 1st or something) and some other asset.

The likely hood is that Jamro won’t move him, as he is the number 2 defenseman in Columbus, but also because Columbus has a good number of Russian prospects coming over in the next few years and if there is an older Russian player already there it would make the transition for them easier coming from the KHL to the NHL.

Also imo Florida doesn’t need another defenseman unless Ekblad and Weegar get hurt, though I’m not sure this team has a huge weakness right now.

The Panthers do need a LHD. Unless Montour can play in the 1st pair, that is. Last year, Weegar and Forsling were amazing together and it would be foolish to separate them. That leaves a spot open next to Ekblad which needs to be filled for Ekblad to flourish

I think it's safe to say CBJ are in a rebuild.

But agreed with all the above - Vlad isn't on the market. I could see him eventually being a TDL overpay, a la Savard, in a year or two; but, they need the experience on the blue-line right now. If he's moved, he's replaced with Lehtonnen, Harrington, or Carlsson, and not sure how comfortable I am with that.

If you asked me what I'd be happy getting for him *right now*?

Two years on his contract, very affordable, young, can play/has played a T4 role and largely excelled at it. I'd say a 1st and a 2nd/good prospect.
