It's amazing how little credit amirov gets around here. Every other mod 1st rounder is valued like gold, yet somehow he's a toss in and not good enough for trades like this where the leafs dont even get a guy who has hit 50 points by the time hes 26

i don't think he's a toss in, he was the main piece centered around what Buffalo's getting in this deal. he has value

i value Amirov about as equal as I value Robertson, I think next year we find out who's more valuable

I wouldnt, i like olofsson just fine, dont wanna waste a retention spot (even though the retention is basically covered by the second), and i think jokiharju is better than liljegren, i admit the value is close though.

Maybe he hasn't hit 50 points because the 2 seasons he played were shortened due to covid. He is a 55 points per 82 for his career.

Maybe liljegren will hit 50 GAMES by the time he's olofssons age.

Seems like a nice prospect. I'd trade olofsson for him but a late 2nd 2 years from now and an ahl defensemen for jokiharju is where you lose me

Sure, but my point was about amirov and how he's criminally under rated as a toss in on these boards

I Definately want amirov and am willing to trade olofsson with retention, i'll even throw in our second. amirov could just end up being joel armia but i'd like to see if he can be better.
But cant include joker. Not only is he worth more in my opnion he's a key part of the team. If you want him your going to have to treat him like a legit 2nd pair right side d with upside...cuz thats where we have him true or not.

And it was pointed out by Sabres fans that he's not the toss in here and then you cast shade on olofsson using pandemic shorted seasons for point totals

Here's the deal.
First, Amirov, and Liljegren are prospects who MAY some day be as good as or better than Olofsson and Jokiharju.
Second, Olofsson is 26 and will be 29 by the time Buffalo is ready to compete, I would be willing to trade him with the right offer.
Third, VERY unlikely Jokiharju gets traded until Buffalo finds a 1st/2nd pairing RHD.
With only Miller and Pysyk currently on the team, Liljegren would be at best 3rd pairing getting less than 10 min/gm.
Jokiharju, obviously would not be a top pairing in Toronto, but in Buffalo he is.
Liljegren was drafted the same year as Jokiharju.
Over the past 3 seasons Liljegren has 10 goals and 56 AHL pts, while Jokiharju playing for the pathetic Sabres and Hawks has managed 7 goals and 35 NHL pts.
I think it would be a bit of an over pay but, you can get Olofsson for that offer, but IMO I am keeping Jokiharju unless the offer blows me away.

Both prospects proved nothing in nhl yet and don’t project to be top six or top four. Meanwhile joker is already top 4 dman and RHD shot on cheap deal and same age as liljegren. Their is 0 value in it for buffalo and it stealth isn’t close.

Well that’s one way to show your bias I guess.
