Gotta be more than that to get Barkov out of FLA -- but if Bergeron does retire, BOS is in trouble.

If bergeron retires, the bruins are rebuilding.

Also, 3x7.5 for mcavoy is a complete and utter abomination for both sides.

Yeah, i don't think barkov's signing for 4 years...why would you only sign him for 4 years?

More to get Barkov and a lot more to get Ekholm. McAvoy is going to look at Werenski’s deal and say I want that.

Nobody seems to recognize it but the discussion is if bergy retires OR he declined like the rest of his draft class.

None of the following are anywhere near first liners:

Jeff Carter, Parise, Getzlaf, Perry, E Staal

The following are still solid but nowhere near their peak:
Suter, Brown

Weber literally broke this year

The following are our of the league:
M Richards, Phaneuf

All of the above were between first liners and franchise players. And remember this is all LAST year. You are discussing two year after this.

Bergeron hasn't shown signs of slowing down but he's way past any typical peak. It's quite possible he just declines like a rock.
