Description
This is my personal opinion. I will probably end up regretting betting against the pens, but I think, for the first time since 2006, the pens will miss the playoffs. I also think that the kraken will just edge the Canucks out of a playoff spot.

Pens make the playoffs. They make it work in the regular season even with major injuries. We've gotten better over the past few years in the regualr season. And that's not stopping now

I don’t think I can bet against the caps or pens. I think one of canes isles caps pens misses playoffs unexpectedly from my perspective since that’s who I have in my top 4. But I don’t really like the rags off-season, think they made some really dumb moves after being set up in a promising way going into it. Flyers made some big moves, some were great and some not so much, it all banks on if Hart bounces back. Devils will take a big step but think they need to learn how to win and are a year away.

Damn this is almost exactly the same as the one I put together yesterday. I also boldly put Washington and Pittsburgh will miss, but I had WPG ahead of Dallas, OTT ahead of MTL, and NYR ahead of NYI (NYI is just a really good playoff team to me).

The obvious misses here are Pittsburgh, Washington and Minnesota (especially if Kaprizov signs).

Also, what did Dallas, NYR and Philadelphia do over the summer to get so much better than they were last season?

And if you're betting against aging superstars, how come teams like Chicago, Dallas and Boston get a free pass?

As a Flyers fan I see the fair argument that they may not make the playoffs, but are you seriously asking how they improved this summer from last season lol?

"So much better"

Pittsburgh and Washington were .688 last season, Philadelphia was .518. I'm not seeing where they improved so much that they will vault those two teams, are you?

I think the caps will miss, and I think that the pens will just barely miss the playoffs, just barely being edged out by the flyers. Boston over Montreal, just because they would still have a better team, even with Montreal mitigating their losses. If Pittsburgh makes it, I would have them in the second wild card, only if they can outplay Boston in the regular season. Teams like NJ, DET, OTT, and LA will take big steps forward but I think that they might start to contend in another year. In the central division, everyone except the coyotes have a fair shot at getting in. Toews coming back for CHI will be huge. I think that the Stars, Blues, and Jets will bounce back this year. For the pacific, Vegas will almost certainly win the division with Edmonton not far behind. I think that Seattle will end up winning just enough greasy games to edge out the Canucks.

Now that I have explained my predictions, I don’t care what everyone else says about my predictions, these are my own personal opinion, and if you can’t deal with that, don’t try force feeding me whatever you believe is right or wrong.
