I'd rather have Myers contract over Gallagher's and Romanov and a bunch of garbage doesn't get you Horvat

Horvat isn't worth that much more than Gallagher.
Gallagher is the better even strength producer and all situations player, Horvat is a center with better power play production.
Age difference is only 2 years and Horvat will likely hit $7-8M long term (maybe more on the open market) so Gallagher will be the cheaper option moving forward.

Having another top 6 C isn't bad for the Habs, but moving Gallagher to make it happen really isn't an option. He's unique. You can't trade for a Gallagher, but you can find other Horvats.
