No one is going to agree with you on this. I just gave you your stupid data. Outside of vancouver fans, 99.9% of people are going to acknowledge slavin is better than Hughes. This is as wrong as saying kerfoot is better than McDavid.

I said all the Dmen below the 1st pair are interchangeable in value. That means they have value in their roles. Quinn has strengths and weaknesses as does Slavin who is not the better puck mover. Slavin plays PK and can pass it to Aho/Hamilton as good as anyone. To say he's better than Werenski is hilarious.

Not really though, Hughes is a high end up and coming guy who has a very strong chance of being a better offensive defenseman (maybe a better overall defenseman too) in the future.

I don’t think he’s high end. I think he’s an over glorified low end third pair D who’s just really good on the PP. PP specialists have their place in this league, but they shouldn’t have the rep that he does. He’s a rich mans marc-Andre bergeron.
