Verhaeghe is younger a lot cheaper and, arguably, better than Gallagher. I can't see the Panthers accepting

Younger and cheaper but not better. Gallagher has a near decade long track record of high end goal scoring (he is 3 goals shy of having twice as many goals as Verhaege has games played). Gally you know is money in the bank for a 30 goal pace while Carter could easily be a 1 and done.
