Both teams decline.

Boston not moving Mac.

Buffalo not trading Eichel without a young NHL ready FW with first line ceiling. Lavoie is not that.

Drsi > Eichel anyway

All three teams decline. Edmonton is not trading Draisaitl for McAvoy and they don't have space for Eichel.

Don't fall on this one! This user posted the same McAvoy *hit hours ago when he tried to help BOS with Draisaitl. The text is gone... Full-time troll!

Drai > Eichel but Eichel/Mac is better than Drai/whoever. And they do have space for Eichel under this scenario. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I'd say it meets basic requirements for an eichel deal of 4 1st's in value and if boston was going to move Mcavoy, daisiatl should be enough to start a serious coversation you'd be crazy to just hang up the phone. But i agree these deals don't get done. Tho they're far from unreasonable.

I think the reason the bruins reject is term. Draisaitl has four years left, and chances are two of those years boston will be at very least, retooling, if not in a full blown rebuild. With McAvoy, they have an opportunity to extend him 8 years as an RFA, in addition to the year he’s signed for. That’s just better asset management.

Nobody seems to understand the “4 1sts in value” thing. Just because it technically meets it does not mean it’s what they are looking for. The primary piece has to be the young NHL ready 1st line ceiling forward. I.e Zegras, Krebs, Boldy, Caufield etc. Without it there is no point in doing it for Buffalo. 2 late 1sts and young D man as the first 3 pieces is of no interest. Nor does it mean it has to be 4 pieces, just the pieces have to equal to roughly 4 1sts in value. If Ducks offer Zegras and a pair of 1sts, Eichel is a Duck.

It meets the basic requirements, they're not keeping you on the phone while the paperwork gets drawn up and there's not gonna be a party in the streets but if it was the only offer for some reason i'd take it. Especially if its while eichel is injured.

They wouldn't do the 1st trade, so there isn't room for the 2nd. 🤷🏻‍♂️

If they would have taken something like that, he would have been traded already. The primary piece is the most important piece. It isn’t there.

Overpay for Eichel and Draisaitl is better. And Boston won't trade MacAvoy
