Boston would pay that for say Ekholm maybe, but not for Leddy.

As of now, the Bruins left side is set. They could improve it but Leddy's style of play is similar to Reilly and he is another bottom4 D. I think the Bruins would target a two-way defenseman like Lindholm or Ekholm (or just add a 7th D). This is also too much for Leddy considering his current level of play; if he's great this year, then someone might pay the price.

A cap strung team traded Leddy to shed cap so they could sign other players to a team that could take him on but yet paid a 2nd round pick. Retained panik for 2yrs. This is making me think people under value Leddy. Id really like to keep him but i would think he would want to contend, but we could use him for like 2-3 years.
