Man I wished the Rangers sucked this year and won the draft lottery and got Shane Wright. We’d actually be set with a young top end potential talent at every position. God that would be incredible.

1st or 2nd would be a dream come true. That would really be nasty.

Sounds about right.
But I see PIT and NSH in playoffs
And CHI and PHI out of playoffs.

Nashville just sold and Pittsburgh has been slowly aging out Chicago improved dramatically and Philly fixed their main issue from last year completely. I personally think Philly finishes 2nd in their division behind Carolina

Philly didn’t really fix their problem at all.
They added two offensive d-men.

Last year, there were 12th in the league in shots allowed, but dead last in goals allowed.
Their problem was Carter Hart.

Its pretty unlikely that Hart doesnt bounce back, sophomore slumps are pretty common.

Are you referring to Yandle and Risto? Yandle sure I get but he's also on a 900k deal and will plays 3rd pair if at all (York may take that spot at sone point). Risto is actually not horrible defensively and is a definite upgrade in their own end over Ghost. He also wont be forced into playing really difficult minutes either.

I think you are so forgetting anout Ellis who has always been very good defensively

Ellis was a great pick-up.
Risto is not great and Yandle was once good.

But their problem was not lack of possession or limiting shots against (12th in shots against, last in goals against)
It was horrid goaltending from both Hart and Elliott.
Their fix was adding Martin Jones.
