You think they would take a 2023? Also that’s a lot retained, I think they want another 1st for that.

Lohrei is a non-starter for Boston.

Sharks aren’t taking on $14.5 million for that bad return.

Then what would you give up for Hertl? Sharks are not moving him for anything short of a 2022 1st + a Top prospect

We are not retaining for the Boston version of Mikheyev, Engvall and Kerfoot

Well Boston's top two prospects are Lysell and Lohrei and both are non-starters. After those two Studnicka is Boston's best prospect. Need DeBrusk to go for cap reasons if we bring in Hertl too. Studnicka + DeBrusk is a solid offer, but I don't know it's enough. Could maybe throw in a 2023 1st (I wouldn't trade the 2022 1st) with SJ adding a mid round pick.

Cmon man, every prospect can’t be untouchable. He’s nothing special.

You think Studnicka and DeBrusk alone is a solid offer for Hertl? That’s way off base, you literally said DeBrusk is basically a cap dump in this situation and Studnicka isn’t very intriguing. Sharks certainly are not adding a pick as well. I don’t think Boston has the assets to get Hertl if they aren’t willing to give up Lysell.

Unfortunately Studnicka + DeBrusk is just the start of an offer. Agree that Lysell, Lohrei and 2022 1st are non starters so I don't think this trade gets done with SJ likely not wanting to wait until 2023 for a first. I like Studnicka and for everyone's sake I hope he succeeds this year. Not sure he is going to get that full opportunity with the signings of Nosek, Haula and Folignio but here's hoping.

This is a very bad return for SJS. JD + 1st + 1 of BOS top center prospects is about where SJS will consider

Is he Ryan Lindgren or is he Axel Andersson? SJ not doing deal without a first which would kill the deal for me anyways. I'm willing to wait 3 years for a potential top 4 D to develop especially if it means not having to sign mediocre defenseman to 3+ M deals in 3 years.

I think some people are seeing the points totals and are giddy. But it’s the USHL. Good league, but its not major junior. Not to mention, he’s off to college in the fall. Might be tough to sign.

I never said he was a cap dump. I said he'd need to be moved to fit Hertl cap in. He's the only asset with a good size cap hit to help offset the incoming increase in cap without Boston having to add pick to take on bad contracts like Moore or Wagner.

Despite a bad year last year, JDB still has shown he's capable of 20g a year and he's still only 24yr old. Studnicka has all the tools to be a good #2C who plays all situations. At worst he's a 3C that is still an all-situations guy. He's got a .80 P/GP in the AHL and his rookie year is lead the league in shorthanded scoring. He's a Bergeron-lite if he hit his potential.

Then trade DeBrusk to someone else and add that return to this trade. Sharks don’t need any more wingers. Studnicka seems like too much of a risk, I don’t think he has much value. Sharks want a top prospect not a 3C return for Hertl.

He has yet to prove he can play in the NHL consistently, let alone make the team out of camp. There may be potential but he’s overvalued. Bruins have a weak prospect pool with the exception of Lysell.

The kid is 22yrs old LMAO and he was in his 2nd pro year last year....and made the team out of camp last year lol. His issue was strength, which reports are he's put on 10lb-15lb of muscle this off-season.

Ya ya, Bruins prospect pool is weak Yada Yada Yada. Oddly enough year after year they're a contender and have guys come up from Prividence who chip in. I'm not saying they have a great pool with high-end talent because they don't, but there still able to turn guys into NHLers.
