Price plan

Created by: TGDline
Team: 2021-22 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 12, 2021
Published: Sep. 12, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I raised the cap by 5.25mil for Price's retained salary.
I feel Weber will be back with the Habs come playoff time.
I also think the NHL was told about the move and they kill it.
Still don't know why they let teams trade for injury players.
This team gives the Habs a great shot at the cup.

Doubt Seattle pays Montreal 26.25 mil in cap for Kotkaniemi and a 2023 1st.

The Dvorak trade doesn't happen if Danault re-signs...

You obviously don't pay attention to my comments, I troll the Leafs more than any other team, I can admit they are still a laughing stock.

But you Hab fans dreaming that the surprise Cinderella Cup run will continue is even more laughable.

Ask the question is the Habs even good enough making the playoffs this season, rather than good enough for the Cup Finals again.

Nobody can "expect" to reach the cup finals. It's never a given.
I've said it before. It doesn't matter if there are 4 "better" teams in the division. They have to play each other as well, and only 1 or 2 can realistically pull away from the pack.
The rest comes down to winning games you are supposed to win, and at least keeping pace with the rest.

Montreal has a bad habit of dropping games to poor teams, but they can normally hold their own against the rest. There are legitimate questions/concerns, but they are deeper on the wings, should have a stronger power play, more offense in general, and you can never discount Price.

So yes. Playoffs are in reach. It's the Ottawas and Buffalos that concern me. Not the Torontos or Tampas.

Habs lost so obviously the Cinderella cup run wont continue? good observation lol. A
nd since most of our core is under 22 i think most habs fans are excited for the future, probably will be tough this year to make the playoffs but that chances nothing of what happened last year and certainly doesnt change the fact that currently habs have the best core of young players that i personally have got to witness in my lifetime. Last i check most teams dont make the cup finals in back to back years, are their fan bases all laughable as well?

not that worried about not going on another cinderella cup run. All I care about is that we get to watch more than 1 round of playoff hockey each post season : )

I think the Cinderella Cup run has more to do with the fact that no matter what, with last year's North Division being created, there would be a Canadian team making a Cinderella Cup chase.

I would love for Bettman to keep the North Division full time. Though it eliminates the chance of a Canada v. Canada Cup Final, it at least grants 1 Canadian team making the Final 4 every year.
