This one isn’t scraps, it’s just the pieces Boston doesn’t want anymore (DeBrusk) or haven’t panned out (Frederic) and probably a late 1st. Not a good return

What makes you think the bruins don’t want frederic, debrusk, or a first?

Because they are included in like every trade on here. DeBrusk is to Boston as Engvall and others are to the Leafs.

Just to reiterate this sucks balls for the Sharks for all the reasons people have cited earlier in the thread. So easy decline, end of convo.

Like I said, you can just lose Hertl for nothing then.
Hes not going to resign in SJ, I think we can all agree on that.
You're not going to get a amazing return on a rental. On top of that, someone who has publicly said he basically wants out (because of the Kane situation)

He actually hasn’t publicly stated that he won’t return or that he wants to be traded or anything like that. He said we will wait and see how the season goes. And there are many other teams who can beat that offer and will. He has never said he won’t resign in San Jose, he has always stated that he loves San Jose. All of this other crap is just nonsense.

    1. They aren’t.
    2. Do you think there’s any correlation between Bruins management and the opinion of bruins fans? That’s insane. Bruins fans are a reactionary and pretty dumb fanbase.

If he cares about winning, he’s gone. If he cares about money, he’s gone.

If you think there are multiple firsts coming for freaking Tomas hertl, you’re insane (that’s what it would take to beat this offer).

A first and a 2nd or even a half way decent prospect beats this offer. I want to see Hertl play on a competitive team and have success, if that’s not San Jose then so be it. But they aren’t about to accept a poor deal for that.

Debrusk has scored 27 in 68 games. Crap year last season, but that’s worth something.

What day you think has better odds: 24 year old debrusk bouncing back, or a 2nd round developing into a top six winger? There is a very clear and logical answer to that question.

Me personally, wish that Debrusk would work out. I think he'll thrive on a new team, Especially a team like SJ where he'll have better minutes (Because SJ is poop)

I wouldn’t say that. Some guys value lifestyle over winning/money.

I agree. Its not about the money tho. Hertl has all but said he isn't resigning because of the Kane situation.

Riiiiiiight. So you can screw around on this forum all day long, but the second you try to find an article on google, you’ve crossed a line. Sure thing pal.

Trying to be helpful here, I don't have a specific link but at the start of the Kane fiasco, Puck Report had a couple bits on how Hertl was upset and may not want to resign if Kane stays. If I can find it ill post it here

Sure. That would be reasonable. May not, unhappy are all fine terms.

This dude just said, “he said he will not sign because of Kane.” That’s not a thing.

But it is. Like, he literally just said what I said, just quoted. Are you dumb? Or just an asshole?

I searched. I don’t think it happened. I think you really stretched what he said to try to support your stance. If that’s the case, kinda lame. Far better to just state your opinion rather than pretend its fact.
