Maybe you can get Rakell for that price to fill that role! Sharks will be looking elsewhere

Sharks would never consider this. Boston won't give up the pieces SJ would want for Hertl (Lysell)

Sharks would be dumb to ignore this value-wise though.
I understand its not the pieces they want, but this might be too good to pass up. Then they can flip debrusk for more

Major overpay. Again people are severly underrating Debrusk because he had on off year due to COVID and dealing with an injury to begin the year.
But yeah could accomplish the same trade for less

Debrusk, Freddy, and a 1st is an overpayment,.
Again in they dont like the pieces, I get it, but in terms of value, its too good to pass up, it literally is lol

And just to make sure its obivously explained so you guys dont call me "moron" or anything dumb. Hertl is a UFA after the season, he is a rentla at the moment so his value is even less. This is an overpay if he wasn't a rental, as a rental, he will cost even less.

And again, just to cover myself because I can already see yall being annoying, Debrusk is an RFA so his value is NOT lower

Just because you guys drafted Frederic in the 1st round doesn’t make him good. 5 points in 59 games isn’t good. It makes zero sense to trade for assets you don’t want. Not sure how many times I’ve said but if you want to make it more appealing, trade DeBrusk to someone who wants him and include that return in a Hertl trade.

LMAOOO thank you, proved my point

Freddy had 5 points in 59 both Kakko and Lafrenier had less than 20 points in their Rookie years. Is Kakko worth a 2nd? Is Laf worth a 2nd?
    Of course not !
So get out of here with your lack of thinking
Come back once you have thought about it with reality

I agree that the Sharks dont want debrusk, IDK what everyone keeps making those trades. And idk why you said "You", i dont care, im just explaining why bruins would reject it lol

You talk about reality and then compare Frederic to those two players? Frederic is no Kakko or Laf. Those guys were 1st and 2nd overall in their draft years, not a good comparison. I don’t see Frederic being worth a 2nd honestly, maybe a third. He has had NHL games in what, 3 different seasons? With him being 23 he’s not really considered to be a prospect anymore and hasn’t shown himself to be a consistent NHL player who can produce half as much as a first rounder should.

It’s an underwhelming trade. All teams overestimate their prospect’s worth in trades, including Boston fans. Fans of teams constantly giving themselves Hertl for scraps are the worst fans.

Any examples of guys of hertl’s caliber getting moved for more? This is a pretty significant overpay.

Solid 2nd line center, maybe fringe first liner. He. Is. A. Rental. A first and a kicker is more than fair, and you’re not going to find examples of similar guys going for more.

This one isn’t scraps, it’s just the pieces Boston doesn’t want anymore (DeBrusk) or haven’t panned out (Frederic) and probably a late 1st. Not a good return

Like I said, you can just lose Hertl for nothing then.
Hes not going to resign in SJ, I think we can all agree on that.
You're not going to get a amazing return on a rental. On top of that, someone who has publicly said he basically wants out (because of the Kane situation)
