canucks decline again.still. Quinn is a canuck. hes not going anywhere. We would ask way more than nj will pay for our number one dman.so you will have to wait till hes a free agent.

Quinn has offensive numbers but I think that is an overpay by New Jersey. Quinn probably has an eye on being a UFA in four years. I know Canucks should get market value for him in a trade, but geez
Smith and Foote look to be solid NHLer and the pick is certainly a lottery pick, and cap space
Just my opinion, the Devils shouldn't be looking to unite to young brothers. Let them find their own way in the NHL.

You do realize he's signing a long-term deal. It's basically done they just can't announce it because Petey could get offer sheeted

The only way the Canucks trade Quinn is if it's an overpayment. Smith, Holtz, and a 1st would be the only way they trade him

I'll believe the long term deal when I see it. You see Quinn a lot more than me, I really don't know if he worth mega bucks. But of course we have seen the IMO the ridiculous contracts given to Jones and Nurse for next season.

He really isn't as bad defensively as people want to say. His first 20 games were bad but he was good after that. When Hamonic came back healthy I didn't have a huge issue with him defensively. You can only do so much when Jordie Benn is your d partner. Offensive dmen don't age well but this contract should be absolutely worth it. Y

This guys got it!
They would want more and its already too much from our side, would never work FA is the only way. If QH signs a bridge deal than maybe, LH will just be starting his career in NJ yada yada yada.

Ty Smith and a small add would be offer from Devils.
This package is way too much.
NJD might as well keep what they have.

How does Quinn have an eye on being a UFA in 4 years when he still has 5 RFA years remaining? You’re just making stuff up. Canucks aren’t trading Hughes. Stop underrating him and stop pretending like you know he wants out of Van when literally no insider has ever said

I'm not saying Canucks are trading Hughes. But look at the power RFAs now have. They make close to UFA....years ago they had to wait. Good RFAs can structure their contracts so they reach UFA as soon as possible.
And no insider is gonna throw the player or team "under the bus" by saying he wants out of Vancouver (or any team).

NJ shouldn’t be looking to do that. Let him play in Vancouver and make a play for him in free agency if you want to unite the brothers. It’s not worth losing a trade to get him
