TDL deal?

I’d say yes but not so sure about the retention

Take a look at Manson's advanced stats from last year. Gudbranson's was better. I really don't know how teams still view him, but I think giving up anything more than a 3rd rounder for him is a mistake.

Henrique on the other hand with the retention is definitely a good get for OTT, but I'm not sure if the trade value jives.

Lmao what a horrendous deal for Ottawa. Henrique is still solid, but he's not a difference maker at all, and Josh Manson is one of the most overvalued players in the league. He's nothing more than average at this stage, and while he might be worth a lot as a trade piece to a contender, he should be worth next to nothing to Ottawa.

Manson is a pending UFA who turns 31 at the start of his next contract. That's not a guy who fits at all with Ottawa's timeline. Giving up their own 1st for him in a year that they will be extremely hard pressed to make the playoffs is an unbelievably stupid idea.

Yeah if Dorion gives up Ottawa's 2022 first round pick in that fashion, he better go hiding because I will hunt him (to throw eggs on his car, I'm not an anti-vaxxer after all)

Henrique was on waivers last season....no takers. Lots better ways to spend over 4.5m (even with retention).
It's 2021...Manson isn't special anymore.
I like Ottawa and their potential, but doubtful if they are playoff ready this season, so they aren't giving up a lottery pick and more.

I keep seeing Josh Manson's name being linked to Ottawa.

I thought I was the only one who didn't want him.
