I don't see how that Seattle trade makes sense for the Penguins. You're moving a position they've already thinned out at losing McCann and Tanev and adding pieces they have a surplus of in Lauzon and Soucy. I know you like Lauzon, but this is a very bad asset management.

Pettersson had a rough year, we save cap space and get more grit and size. Lauzon has played RD. Carter had a waaaay better year than Zucker and spent most of his time on line 2. Carter with Malkin and Rust could be a deadly line. We have so much depth for the bottom 6 that we could move out a guy like Zucker. We also bring in a young forward who has size.

I have no complaints about the Pettersson deal. It's what you do after.

What does Carter have anything to do with this? You're losing ANOTHER winger and there's no way that Nolan Patrick deal flies. Also Patrick might have size, but he's not a physical player.

Unless you have actual evidence that Lauzon played the right side effectively, this is terrible asset management. You've honed in on a so-so player because he happens to play physical.

Dude, I don't care who you got it from. It doesn't make it make any more sense. You're now thinning out a forward group that already lost two quality forwards and adding lower level players to an area we have a surplus. That's just bad asset management.

That Patrick offer-sheet will get matched faster than you can blink an eye.

Carter is better than Zucker, had a better year, and would work better with Malkin than Zucker did. We lost 2 forwards, but we have the depth to fix that. Were not adding lower level players if they were just gonna be gone anyway. And Vegas doesnt have the cap space to match unless they make a move

What in the world does Carter have to do with Zucker? Your rationale just makes no sense. Zucker is a winger and Carter a center. What does one have to do with the other?

Also, while Lauzon may be a decent 3rd pairing dman, that's not a need for the Pens unless it's a major upgrade and neither Lauzon nor Soucy is a major upgrade over what they have.

Your Pettersson trade is fine, but you keep making these follow-up trades that are just poor asset management.

youre the only person who has not understand-ed this. Youre the only person who has talked about asset management. Ive made these trades many times before and no one has complained about bad asset management

If nobody has complained about asset management then you're using bad people as your bench mark and it makes total sense why you keep posting this stuff. Asset-management is EVERYTHING in building a team.
