By swapping Nylander with Strome that offense has now lost even more top-end talent. The defense doesn't look much better either.

Muzzin cap hits too high for TB
And 9 years of Parayko under contract doesn't scream rebuild.

Id rather keep the team the way it is this year, and then sell if we fail.

Interesting trades though, props

The 20 man roster....yeah right. Certainly one year of Parayko doesn't help the Leafs that much for what they have to give up. Tampa like RHD Cernak and his contract better than Muzzin.

I'm just going to assume you already know that there is no earthly reason the Blues would even consider that.

Parayko already has an extension signed to start next season. But it is adorable that this is the point you felt needed pushback. tears of joy

Yeah Tampa would definitely make that trade. Trading young RHD for old LHD with their LD stacked.

IF the leafs were going to rebuild I think I Chicago would be interested in Nylander.

None of this would happen. Tor says no to the CHI deal, St.Louis won't do that deal after extending Parayko and Tampa would say no.

The bigger question is why would the leafs be interested in MAF if we're rebuilding and why would he want to come here? Also, if we're rebuilding why would we want Parayko for 9 years? By the time we'd be competitive again he would be entering his decline IMO.
