Oilers Lineup

Description
I know I'm gonna get complains about Yamo but I really think he can bounce back from that season and I just think 1 million is a little too low for him so a 2.35 mill for 2 years is perfect

I completely agree with the lines! Now for Yamamoto, I think he will get 3 years at around 2-2.5M, mainly because of Dube (3 years 2.3M per), Comtois (2 years 2M per), Mittelstadt (3 years 2.5M per) etc.

3 year I agree it would be around that amount.
2year I think falls below 2 mill.1.7-18ish

At that AAV I'd like to see 3 years, a la Dillon Dubé.

Edit: should've read the comments before hitting post!

also I don't see the oilers signing Ennis. Maybe a PTO and then to league minimum.
But they already have Perlini Shore Turris Benson mardoy battling for pretty much the last couple spots on the team. so I dont see that happening.

Ennis is skating with the guys right now, so there's speculation of a PTO. Maybe Chiasson too, and likely an RHD.

Yes i am sure there will be PTOs and ennis and CHaisson could be them. but its a huge up hill climb for them with the players they brought in. and the fact that they need to find out what they have in the younger players.

The PTOs would be favours for each other an audtion for them not only for the oilers but other teams to try and get a last NHL contract while the oilers get to use them to meet their pro player limit for EX games so they dont have to send mcdavid or dri or RNH on the road

Yamamoto isn't getting a 3 year deal. Edmonton's cap situation in 22-23 is too close they can't really even give him more than 1.5 million. It will be 2 x 1.5million.

Maybe, but with how the contracts have been getting dished out, I could see 3 years.

Yamamoto will want 1 year because I'm sure he doesn't want a long term extension less than like 3.5 million. Edmonton wont give him less than 2 years because of their cap situation next year and he doesn't have arbitration. A 3 Year deal at 2 Million AAV would be a very team friendly contract they just need every bit of their cap because they will come very close in 22-23 so they cant cash in on it.

It doesn’t matter how many years Yamamoto wants, because he has no arbitration. Holland will try and give him 2-3 years which means he will probably get close to what the three guys got that I listed. And this season will be the 2021-22 season, so next season will be 2022-23. That’s means he will have 1 year left on his contract at 2022-23, and that’s perfect, because we have no big guys to sign then. Realistically Holland should give him 3 years in my opinion, because it will help both the player, and the team.
