That’s not enough for you guys to get McDavid, and we are not trading McDavid. The starting piece would most likely be Tkachuk or Stutzle. Again, Ottawa would be crazy to trade for him, because they may have to give both of those players plus more, depending on how much they want McDavid.

I'm an outsider and not a fan of either team but McDavid would start at Stutzle, Norris, and 2 1st. plus a top tier prospect IMO.
TBH you have a better chance prying Matthews or Mariener from Toronto.
Honestly your team is getting built nicely and in a cost effective way right now I would stay the course rather than overspend and weaken your future.
Take it from the sharks and what happened after we traded for Karlsson!

You people do understand that you are allowed to make fantasy trades on here right?

Of course. I’m just being realistic honestly. I know people make trades for fun, and it’s not entirely what they think the value should be, and that perfectly fine! I for one like trades that shows fair value on both sides (or close to fair). If you don’t want me to post what I think it’s fair, because it’s a fantasy trade, please say in the team explanation, or title.

My line-up would be :

Formenton-McDavid-Brown
Tkachuk-Norris-Batherson
Stutzle-Pinto-Sokolov
Paul-White-Watson
Tierney

The speed on that 1st line would be just ridiculous to watch. Teams wouldn't even try to use their D-men to attack when they're on the ice.

2nd and 3rd lines could abuse the opposition

Yeah but this is like 8 first rounders. Realistically, no team could afford to trade for McDavid now, maybe later in his career. Which is crazy is that they'd still have a heck of a forward group after the trade. However, not sure I'd like the defense enough without Sanderson. Would need Erik Brannstrom or Tyler Kleven to be a good 2nd pairing LD (which is realistic though lol)

Sanderson, Jake : 5th OA pick in 2020, he's going to be a beast, I wouldn't trade him for many players. His value is a lot more than a "1st rounder" to me
Greig, Ridly : 28th OA pick in 2020, stock has been rising significantly
Boucher, Tyler : 10th OA pick in 2021, has to prove himself but Sens wouldn't have drafted him that high if they weren't extremely confident. They absolutely earned the benefit of doubt from me
Järventie, Roby : 33rd OA pick in 2020, stock has been rising as well
2022 1st round pick (OTT) : even with McDavid, they could miss the playoffs. Defense is "not there yet" and you've given up your best asset in the trade (Sanderson)
2023 1st round pick (OTT) : another 1st, might be more late though
Thomson, Lassi : 19th OA pick in 2019, still a good prospect who has some value

Sanderson is an extremely good piece, Greig is a high end piece too, then you have 4 more first rounders and Thomson

I think this one goes without saying though. Obviously, McDavid won't be traded next year.

He absolutely won’t be getting traded. I’m sorry if I was too serious about the trade.
