Yeah I don't see him being traded before the season either. He's a good defenseman but the Sabres really need to pull another 14-15 season this year so I hope he's not too good lol

I still cannot believe that Karmanos could get Burcher for free. That is the best free acquisition in a long time. Only exceeded by Satan for for Barrie Moore and Craig Millar. I completely agree.
But they will be bad.
It will be hard to replace Ullmark, Ristolainen, Reinhart and Eichel.
Eichel and Ullmark missed more than half of the season, but Sam and Rasmus both had very good years.
I think the team will be more exciting and I think they will gel under Granato.
Granato was a coach when Caggiula, Davidson, Hayden and Hinostroza played with the Hawks (Hinostroza also played with Granato).
Maybe they could still get a decent GK in a trade.

The d could be decent, and goalies are always a crapshoot, but i expect our offense to struggle badly most nights.
