I think the only way they move Namestnikov now is because Berggren, Veleno, and/or Raymond make the squad. Other than that, I think it would be a deadline move.

Rodrigues is of no use to Detroit.

If you want Namestnikov before the trade deadline you need to offer us something that makes us better, either immediately or in the future. Hållander or Légaré in combination with Clang and we'll listen.

a third round pick (what they will get at the deadline) and a roster player they can use and flip at deadline for a 4th for a team wanting depth for playoff run.

Namestnikov will get a 2nd at the deadline if a contender needs him.

The trade you proposed makes us a worse team this season and in the future.

Namestikov cost a 4th at the deadline a couple years ago. Not sure those 8 goals gets the same return as Taylor Hall

Why are PIT fans putting in these Namestnikov trades? I'm not sure Namestnikov fixes anything for PIT. He is a swiss army knife piece, very useful for a top contender for sure, but I'm not sure PIT is that team.

True, but it doesn't fix that PIT is one of the oldest teams in the league. It doesn't fix that they get very little production out of the 3rd and 4th lines (both offensively and defensively). It doesn't fix that they are running out 4 #5/6 guys on defense every night.

PIT needs to get younger and deeper, or Sid is done with cups (at least in PIT)
