Amazing in theory, but the practicality is not there. In order for this to occur, the yotes would have to win the lottery TWICE in a row, which you can’t do anymore (NHL teams are not allowed to win a draft lottery more than once in a 5 year span now). While they will most likely get one, they won’t get both, unless somehow Florida manages to win the lottery in 2023, and that chance is so minuscule, it may as well not even exist. But yes, this would be an amazing team, and if they somehow got both Wright and Bedard at the helm, they might be able to rival the dynamic duo of McDavid and Draisaitl.

Oh I thought a team can win the lottery twice in five years under the new rules, my bad. Well, getting one of them and another top 5 pick would help too.

That's not entirely true. If Colorado were to miss somehow due to injury issues or whatever it may be, Colorado could in theory win the lottery and Arizona could still acquire both. It's VERY Unlikely, but it is possible.

Assuming Carolina is on Kessel's 8 team trade list, the Canes should take that and run.
