Ya makes sense, doesn’t make sense for a contending team to move a top 4 guy, unless they think Sandin can replace him.

Yup. If TOR is moving Rielly at the deadline this means TOR has much bigger problems lol

Ok let me ask u this, what stat proves Seth Jones is better than Reilly? Or are u just ignorant like 90% of Habs fans ?

clearly just ignorant... Reilly is elite offensively but after years and years seeing him play hes not a top end dman. hes great on the powerplay and naturally helps in transition because of his skill but hes not someone youre going to ride for 25+ minutes through a playoff run and he never will be that guy. You can throw wte stats you wont about Jones, columbus hasnt exactly been the most stable place to play over the past few seasons, but i feel extremely confident in saying that he is going to thrive in Chicago and has the ability to be a true number 1 dman that can do everything.

But again, clearly just an ignorant habs fan, really should be surprised i even know who seth jones is.

thanks for the good laugh to start my day. Never said i though seth jones was a good dman, just that he is better than Rielly.
Rielly isnt a top pairing dman on any real contender and yes Jones is the better dman, the contract is another story theres not many dman that should be making 9 mil or over you could look at the top 10 highest paid dman in the league and probably only 2 or 3 are actually worth the deal they are on.

If Rielly is so bad, I guess the Leafs can just keep him and sign him for multi years, cheaper than his current deal. Perfect!

100% Dubas is well known for his ability to sign his core to reasonable team friendly contracts so that shouldnt be a problem.

Also never said Rielly was so bad, but hes an offensive defenseman who realistically should be coming in closer to 6.5-7mil than to 9.

I mean he signed those deals with the expectation that we wouldn't have a world wide pandemic that would force a stoppage in play and league revenues would drastically take a hit and the Seattle expansion would be delayed a year. If the team cap was 85m or higher this year, those deals wouldn't look nearly as expensive as they do now. But yea, getting back to what you were saying. But yeah Dubas is a moron for not being able to predict all of that. Go troll a different post gurl

ouch thats a big excessive.
And i wasnt trolling i just find it laughable how Rielly is viewed as a top dman in the league by leaf fan even though he is outmatched on his own team but a player on the downward swing of his career. And ya a 85 mil cap hit would make it slight better but doesnt change the fact that the last 4 major signings by the leafs have either been at market value or above, its irrelevant if it was a flat cap or not since they werent good prepandemic either.

In that whole statement, you used literally zero stats, that are backed by analytics. “I think he will thrive in Chicago” uhhh nice prediction?? Is there anything that supports ur argument or do u just base ur arguments off ur personal opinions and the eye test ? “You can throw whatever stats u want at Jones” lol clearly u are more ignorant than I thought. So u know that his underlying numbers are TERRIBLE but choose to ignore them because yes, the good old eye test. Just another ignorant, casual Habs fan

eh that is how i started off my comments. Clearly you dont watch much hockey but have the ability to read the f*** out of the box scores at the end of the night so thats cool. and ya it is a prediction, as far as i'm aware regardless of what stats you can go by you probably dont have a predictive algorithm that is bang on on knowing the future output of a player, so litterally this entire website is mainly pointless predictions by bored hockey fans waiting for the season to start.

Certainly you must be right, all the stats you so expertly referencced (oh wait there was none) back up your statement.

But again ignorant and CASUAL habs fan.

repeatedly obviously, thought that would be a given. Your insult game is almost on point with your hockey insight...you should be very proud.

Ignorant, causual "Brainless moron" habs fan (thinking i may have to get t-shirts made for this)

Kerfoot is despised is Jersey, really bad blood there. They will never trade for him

I wouldn't say despised.
We drafted him, he didn't want to sign, we moved on.

Would be weirder for him that for fans.

Wood >> Kerfoot
Graves >>>>> Dermott

the difference is a lot more than a 2nd and a late round pick

This ^
Change Dermott and picks to Sandin.
