Dallas just signed him. Why would they trade him?

Why would the Stars give picks to get rid of Holtby literally right after signing him as a free agent? Lol

Why would the Oilers pay to get rid of him and have Holtby

As a Penguins fan who loves Kessel, I would love to have him back, but unfortunately there are a few issues with this trade:

1) Hextall has openly said an numerous occasions that the Pens' 1st & 2nd rounders are off-limits moving forward
2) Hextall has stated on numerous occasions that he won't be moving any prospects unless it's a very good deal and while I personally would love Kessel back, I don't think this qualifies.
3) The Pens only have $121,000K in available space.

Hextall is limping in, so the only thing I could think that would work here is taking Zucker or Pettersson + 3rd with enough retention to match their respective salaries.

Phil is not going back to PIT. It was either Malkin or Kessel and they choose Malkin

CBJ are trying to rebuild/sell themselves. They wouldn't make that trade.
