1) Picks can't be conditional on signings
2) Sharks wouldn't give up stuff with Hertl. It would be a pure sell.
3) Not really what the Sharks need in a trade nor want. 2022 1st is nice, but there no top prospect

Both teams easily decline.
You cant have a trade condition based on if he re-signs.

Strome is not worth a 1st in any universe, he is a average to below average 3C benefiting from playing with panarin, he is at best worth a 3rd maybe a 2nd from a desperate GM and OTT aint desperate.

Sharks need a top prospect for Hertl and LD is already a major log jam so Jones makes no sense. Sharks would never include a 2nd for a package this bad. To get something of worth (our best player) the other team with have to part with something of worth. From nyr it would definitely need to include Chytil or Lundkvist to be considered and the 22 1st

There are no conditions on trades based off signing.

Has Strome benefited from playing with AP? Absolutely
Is he worth a 1st? I guess not...if he could return a 1st he'd probably already have been moved.
Average to below average 3C? come on...you're just not being fair here. The guy simply has been good for the Rangers- even w/o Panarin. Reality is he can slot in as 2C on several teams...or slot in as a high end 3C...the problem there is the contract he's gonna command

Ottawa has no use for Hajek, just like every other team. I don’t mind Strome, but I’m not giving a 1st for him. I don’t mind a 2nd and a B prospect, or a 2nd and a 3rd.
