Evans was this year too, i think poehs will earn his spot this year, i dont think hes gonna start opening night but he will become a full timer this year at some point.

If Poehling can’t beat out Paquette for a spot it isn’t looking too great for his future.

Just waive Drouin since he's a "cap dump" and nobody will claim him.
Let him go put up 2 points a game in the AHL to get his confidence up while Poehling gets time in the NHL. Then we can send Poehling back down later and call up a 9th defenseman until the deadline.
At the deadline, instead of going after rentals, we can call Drouin and Poehling back up and add two forwards at no cost of assets.
