Silli is looking good in T.C. He may be ready, but I still think he may at least start the year in Cleveland.

CBJ might give Sillinger a <10 game tryout, but there is no way they are going to burn the first year of his contract when he is actually eligible to play in Cleveland against men while the big club is in a building year. Just doesn’t make sense to me.

Now, if he looked ready and still had to be sent to juniors (he doesn’t b/c he played in the USHL last year, not the CHL) then I could see keeping him up so he doesn’t have to go back to junior and his development stagnate. But that ain’t the case. This is a stroke of luck for Columbus, they will take advantage and let him grow a year in Cleveland.
