Unless Stalock plays drastically better than Koskinen, the Oilers can't afford to move their overpriced 1B/backup goaltender. Getting $4.5M off the books opens up a lot of space to bring in high calibre rentals at the TDL. should it happen, there is no need to move Turris.
It's difficult to imagine the Oilers will have difficulty producing offense, the top six is improved, the bottom six should be better, and the defense is heavily slanted to the transition game. Interest in Kessel might be there, but it is unlikely to be at the top of the list of priorities. Adding nasty, hard-hitting, shut-down defenders who are capable of eating lots of ice time is likely to be what Holland dreams about as the season progresses.
