Caufield has played 30 NHL games, and been one of the team’s best players in a long playoff run.

Pinto has played 12 NHL games.

Caufield should be playing IMO, but I think its more because Rookies always get hurt in these games and somehow it would be him if he played, so i think they kept him out cause these games are often way more physical then most NHL games. As its shown to be so far this game.

Any chance I could get a recap from someone? I missed the game and can't find any good recaps of it.

I mean it wasn’t anything unpredictable. The quality of players were pretty defined, with players on NHL contracts being ahead of unsigned draftees, and those being ahead of the invites.

Norlinder was good, but he’s clearly not ready defensively for the NHL.

Everyone else was pretty much as expected, although Kidney was pretty much invisible tonight whereas Roy, Simoneau, and Trudeau I noticed some good things. Although he also had less ice time than Roy or Simoneau, so it’s hard to tell.

The invites were all non-factors.

I found the full game on Senators Youtube, I've only watched the first period and a bit of the second but I see what you guys mean. Guhle didn't play incredible, Norlinder didn't stand out the way I expected him to. Mysak looked very good out there, definitely one of our best players. Roy looked pretty solid. Trudeau reminds me of Romanov in his playing style, he's looking like a real steal coming from pick 114. None of the invites were good except maybe Cyr or Caron.

Norlinder shone more in the 2nd and 3rd when he was able to get more offensive opportunities, but his defensive game definitely needs a lot of work.

I think Guhle played well, and as expected. He’s not polished or NHL-ready by any means, but it’s not like we expected him to be.
