Oh god, poor Teasdale. Just brutal. Hope he recovers soon.

Brook and Byron we knew about. Unless they predicted wrong, Carey should at least be back for the start of the regular season.

Hopefully Hoffman’s injury is minor.

Yeah, we knew Byron, Brook and Price all had injuries, hopefully Price is back for season start. Teasdale is just cursed and Hoffman's injury is hopefully minor, but wouldn't be the end of the world if he missed a bit

Also Edmundson is day-to-day, but due to the fact that he wasn’t listed as failing his physical and the fact that he’s still skating, I wouldn’t expect him to miss much of anything.

So apparently Price should be back for game 1, but Hoffman’s injury will likely drag on into the season.

Price shouldn’t be a problem, since he’s shown to be very effective when getting right into the thick of things after a long time off. (2020 & 2021 playoffs)

With Hoffman out, the habs will probably end up going with their playoff lines, just with Dvorak swapped for KK, Perreault swapped for Perry, and Evans/Poehling swapped for Danault/Staal.

Toffoli - Suzuki - Caufield
Drouin - Dvorak - Anderson
Lehkonen - Evans/Poehling - Gallagher
Perreault - Evans/Poehling - Armia

I think we can safely say that Mete is gone because of his height.

Which is crazy, because Mete weighs more than Niku.

Sadly, probably, i liked Mete, him and KK were some of my favourite habs and they're gone

So Niku has worn number 8 and 83. How likely do we think it is that Bergevin gives him a low number?

Also, if he arrives in camp before Charles-David Beaudoin is released, is he forced to end up with another number? There are only 13 numbers that aren’t in use right now.

I was excited for Niku, but now every single time I see him I’m going to be reminded of KK.

Not too bad. That means he only misses a maximum of 1.5 weeks of the regular season (up to 6 games). So here are the habs injuries (and their estimated return dates):

Joël Teasdale - Knee Injury - ?
Joel Edmundson - ? - Before the season opener.
Carey Price - Knee Injury - Oct. 13th (Game 1)
Mike Hoffman - Lower-Body Injury - Oct. 23rd (Game 6)
Paul Byron - Hip Injury - Dec. 30th (Game 38)
Josh Brook - Knee Injury - Sometime in 2022 (Game 39+)
Shea Weber - Lower-Body Injuries - Never

So Brandon Baddock, Ruch Clune, and Kurtis Gabriel are playing tonight. How much are we betting there’ll be a fight tonight?

Clune is still playing? Really, I guess he was so irrelevant I thought he retired

I’ll say, I cannot wait until we get back to more TSN broadcasts and I don’t need to listen to Chris Cuthbert anymore.

Well there wasn’t much that we learned this game. I do think that Arber Xhekaj looked a lot better tonight than he did during the rookie camp. Especially considering he’s only 20 years old, he’ll probably get an ELC and a spot on Laval’s top 6 D.

He deserves an NHL job just because of that name.

Well ****. Cole Caufield was supposed to play today, but he lost his footing in warmup, and now he isn’t playing. Hopefully it’s just precautionary. 🤞

Expect cuts today

Roy gets cut right after he scores 2 goals. Sticking Out Tongue

Obviously he was always going back to junior, but he’s been really impressive over the past few games. He has great offensive skills, and he isn’t a liability by any means. He’s on track to becoming a really good NHLer.

The other “cuts” will just be sending a bunch of people to Laval’s camp, and sending Sobolev, Roy, Vrbetic, and maybe Simoneau back to junior.

So the only interesting thing will be whether or not Simoneau is playing pro this year.

Well the Red vs. White Scrimmage was a lot of fun.

Ben Chiarot looked great on the right side. He probably won’t have to play there during the season because we have Niku and Wideman, but it’s always good to have options.
The Drouin - Dvorak - Anderson line looked good.
Joshua Roy had a great game with 2 goals and an assist. I’m sure I sound like a broken record, but what a steal for the habs.
Ryan Poehling looked really good. He’s probably the favourite to land the 3C spot and play with Gallagher IMO.
Lukas Vejdemo’s goal was absolutely beautiful. What a shot!
As was the tic-tac-toe goal scored by Harvey-Pinard from Evans and Armia.
Paquette has been as expected, although Perreault hasn’t been very impressive whatsoever. He’s certainly not close to Paul Byron or Artturi Lehkonen, and he sort of just seems like another Belzile or Frolík. I honestly might choose Vejdemo or Harvey-Pinard ahead of him if we needed a LWer.
Speaking of him, RHP was great. With Hoffman out for a bit, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him play a handful of games with Evans and Armia to start the season. Although they might not do that, since it probably doesn’t really accomplish anything, and it also means they need to waive someone a week early.
