2nd favorite teams aren’t a thing. You are a part time fan like me with the habs.

Yeah I should take it off , you're fellow caps fans won't want me joining your gang, but I'll be virtually there, if that's a thing.

It is. I’m virtually a habs fan. Your fine. It just doesn’t seem right.

Yeah but I can't come on the forums for the caps, or discuss in ACGM teams, because bunch of your fellow fans hate me, and wouldn't want me joining, but everyone is friendly with you, so it's not an issue for you.

That was fun. The winner gave me a bit of déjà vu. (As I’m sure it did for every other habs fan.)

We will see. What a game today was. Anderson has such speed. That defensemen with the really long last name did great today. Was shut down. Very very well. He did a great job. I’m also now interested in getting Hoffman just at a low cap hit

Habs wouldn't want to retain though. We can take back Schultz and we'll give you Wideman. Yeah, schueneman is a hidden gem.

The vets core was really different : Danault Kotkaniemi Price Weber Perry Edmundson to say few ... Now this is what we call a blow up situation.

The funniest thing happen when it comes to leadership or milestone ... and who's the best at doing a game breaker moment : Ti-Paul is ****ing there scoring his 95th career goal in his 500th game ... Now we understand how lehky andy suzy and Goal caufield take the pre-match note to top notch the score till the last blood or victory. WAS FREAKING AWESOME to witness such a combative team tonight. We might be down the barrel but not too far yet to bounce back in the music. But the kids need to learn in this kind of atmospher. Great first win for the coach, but what a goodie for Paulie !!

The habs succeeded in spite of him. The not caring about D pairings and playing our Top 4 D a ridiculous amount worked well against Vegas, but that was probably Richardson, and no other coaching things stood out at all.

Ducharme’s handling of Kotkaniemi, Caufield (at the start), and Romanov were huge blunders that the habs played past. (And arguably Tatar as well) The one thing I will give him a bit of credit for is that Staal was actually decent in the playoffs, although he wouldn’t/shouldn’t have played ahead of KK and Cole game 1 if any sane person was coaching after his atrocious regular season stint in Montréal.

I'm still on the boat that Widemen should remain a Hab. He's very good out there. He's not worth a whole lot and the leadership/depth skill that he brings is needed here.

Another week another new comer in the habs ops ! : https://www.nhl.com/canadiens/news/canadiens-hire-nick-bobrov-and-vincent-lecavalier/c-330942512

Welcome Vinny and Bobrov !!

Now the ops are starting to look really stacked :

VP ops : Gorton
GM : Hughes
Special advisor : Lecavalier

Lapointe and Bobrov : cochairman amateur scouting

HC : St-Louis

Still missing : maybe a development co-director : Danielle Sauvageau
Laval GM : ??? (Should we bring back Mellanby) John Sedgwick is Governo but would be better helping in hockey affair with Hughes for contract negociation

We need to build a kind of hockey academie through the habs ops but I wonder if it's even possible.

I do love the Lapointe Bobrov tandem that's given us one euro specialist and one american specialist to check the tape till the draft.

They both aren't specialists.
Boborov drafted jravtsov
Lapointe drafted all our 1st round busts.

I wouldn't say that ... the choices are always in a group bubble a the end. so as a team maybe few gm (like MB) might be in the way ... as for bobrov if you want to check the resume you need to check 2nd rounder to 7yh rounder to understand what was on table at the moment of the pick ... it might have been their 3rd choice for the one avaible. They also have a war room where they talk about player quality and sometime he might have said something about an american skater even if he was euro scouting wink ... things are not that clear and sometime we benefit more of the scouting staff for trade than for the draft!!

He also drafted major bust lias andersson and kampong kaako( although it was the pick, but boborov should have watched and said trade down or don't take jim)

there is also development to extend a player benefit to a team that could be taken in mind here .... don't put all the judgement on the choice.

@capsfan2121 How much for Ilya Samsonov if Vanacek is back by feb 24 ??

Could Washington go for another goalie like Holtby for the playoff and Habs acquire Sammy for a Lehkonen ??? Or should the habs go Lehkonen Chiarot both at 50% for Kravtsov + Georgiev?
