That's an odd way of finding out that Edmundson is back with the team.

I’m pretty sure there were tweets that he was skating this morning.

From a fan POV, prospects of your team are always promising.

Timmins drafts between 2009-2015 are atrocious. Not only all the1st round picks busts (Leblanc Tinordi Beaulieu McCarron Scherbak or even Juulsen), but even mid-draft he had so much missed opportunities.

I posted some of his drafts during Bergevin era (page 16 of this thread).

Exemples :

Galchenyuk draft in 2012 :

Sebastian Collberg (RW) – 33th – 0 games
Dalton Thrower (RD) – 51th – 0 games
Tim Bozon (LW) – 64th – 0 games
Brady Vail (C) – 94th – 0 games

McCarron draft in 2013 :

Connor Crisp (LW) – 71th – 0 games (inactive)
Sven Adrighetto (LW) – 86th – 216 NHL games (inactive)
Martin Réway (LW) – 116th – 0 games

Missed opportunities - All wingers available

Between 71 and 86 :
Pavel Buchnevich – 75
Jake Guentzel – 77
Mattias Janmark – 79
Anthony Duclair – 80
Carter Verhaeghe – 82

Between 86 and 116 :
Oliver Bjorkstrand – 89
Miles Wood – 100
Nicholas Paul – 101
Andrew Copp – 104

Like i mentioned. Look at how these prospects did before they joined the Canadiens. All very promising. I think it comes down to the Canadiens development process and not Timmins

I think you have to consider the bias of being a fan : we read more about our prospects, watch more highlights, just more hyped about them while in fact, other teams could have a similar pipeline but we ignore it.

Yes MTL could ALSO have a development problem, but i think the drafting itself is problematic. Plus it's not like we have other prospects that really shine else where after having a hard time in MTL

Suzuki - WJC MVP
Poehling- WJC MVP
Romanov - WJC Best Defender
Teasdale - WJC Best Foward
Primeau - US College goalie of the year
Caufield - Honey Baker Award

This is just off the top of my head in the last 3 years. There isn't any bias in what I'm saying. These players were all very promising at one point. Look at them now

Teasdale was never a WJC best forward. He was a Memorial Cup MVP

"top of my head" lol

That saying, our prospects definitely aren't just hype. There is merit behind it. We can't develop them for ****. Perhaps our drafting could be better, but Timmins hasn't done an awful job IMO.

Paquette is out for the rest of the game, this may be a slight blessing in disguise as Paquette hasn’t done anything except getting penalties

Lines at practice:

Hoffman - Suzuki - Toffoli/Gallagher
Lehkonen - Evans - Armia
Pezzetta - Brooks - Belzile

Drouin, Dvorak, Paquette had therapy days
Anderson has a non-COVID related illness
Petry, Chiarot, Savard, Wideman, Kulak, Romanov, Niku (lines not specified for some reason) were all on the ice with Luke Richardson
Allen and Montembeault practiced with everyone

Drouin is day to day with headaches, expected to miss game against CGY tomorrow
Dvorak is expected to play
Paquette is out for at least 10 days

Norlinder will be rejoining the Canadiens after playing with Laval tonight, he is expected to make his NHL debut soon

Wasn’t Drouin placed on IR so it would mean he’s out for the next couple games?

If you had told me this would be our lineup in 2021-22 last year I would not have believed you. The fact that Pezzetta - Brooks - Belzile is an NHL line still shocks me.

Yep, Pezzetta and Belzile should not be in the NHL

That’s funny. Also, cool that Josh Brook is still going to the games despite the fact that he’s still 2+ months from returning from his injury.

Shows Brook is a leader and cares about the team if he still shows up
