I honestly think ducharme picked these lines out of a hat, like seriously!?.This is pretty balanced though. Smart move to give montembeault the start.

No he hasn't but suzuki was playing really lazy last game. It's rolling 4 Linds so not just top line then 2nd line, it's all mixed up for balance. Mostly get it from Twitter and habs site

Yep seems bright and understanding. Still leaving my optimism until I see some actual things done first. He said all the right the things, now he has to put his money where his mouth is.

i don't get why the lines change every game. keep the same lines for like 2 weeks and let them build chemistry. Build the lines with the future in mind and maybe he'll keep his job (Duchame), something like:

Actually these are the same lines as the game In dallas . You forgot Gallagher. My lines when everyone is healthy:

So looking at the top 12 in number of saves in a game for habs goalies (in the regular season) includes a combined 3 games from Hockey Hall of Famers* and 4 games from Antti Niemi and Samuel Montembeault.

*Granted that would increase to 5 games 3 years after Carey retires.

nhl.com/stats/

Just go to goalies, and filter by game, see all seasons, Montréal Canadiens, and sort by saves.

Both were prior to the game. There's reports Montembeault will need wrist surgery. Drouin is also going to be longer term.

Yeah, so we need a goalie now, let’s be honest, running Primeau/McNiven probably isn’t great, Primeau definitely shouldn’t be getting starter minutes in any case

Hopefully we can get somebody for future considerations or on waivers. I'm not interested in giving up assets for a "win-now" guy
