Im not being biased but I think that Caufield has a better opportunity than Zegras. Caufield is playing on better team and is going to be playing first line minutes. Also he showed that he was a great player in the post season

The pressure is surely on Knight, we will see if he lives up to it. If he plays .920 or better , he will get it , Florida might win it all and he might even have a chance at the Vezina

Unless he goes and puts up 50pts will be hard to get in. Playing behind Hughes and OEL , it will be tough. But I think they even give Juolevi the first shot at that 3LD over Rathbone to start the year and go from there

Honestly , i don’t see him playing NHL mins this year. Even if he does , I’m not sure he’s going to put up the season for it. He’s so raw

Robertson? Nick probably cant crack the NHL this year due to cap constraints on the Leafs and Jason isn't eligible

I think byram is still Calder eligible, he could be a dark horse now that’s he’s healthy, a year older and stronger

I think that Nick is a good dark-horse candidate because Toronto may promote him and play him on one of the two top lines, where points will (could) fall into his lap.

Ya can't always bet on the favorites. Ya gotta invest part of your stack on the long shots.

Unless he somehow ends up in the top 4 , it will be tough playing behind Girard and Toews

Maybe, I just see it hard due to cap constraints. They already are forced to submit a 21 man roster day 1 and thats only like 300-500k wiggle room

He probably will playing constant 2nd pairing minutes. It all depends how much they manage Johnson’s minutes, if they make sure to keep him healthy limiting his time, byram will get them.

He won’t get pp time which will hurt him, points gets votes

Robertson won't win the Calder. He won't even have a spot on the opening night lineup for the Leafs.

A little bit of bias here, but I think Lukas Reichel could be someone to toss like 10 bucks down on. His development has been stellar and he looked electric in the couple rookie games this weekend. If he starts in the NHL next to Toews and Kubalik and can stay in the lineup he can pile up some points. The downside for him, is unlike everyone else on this list, a starting spot in the NHL isnt a give, or even likely unless he really outperforms Borgstrom and Kurashev in the preseason just because of his contract being eligible to slide a year in the AHL
