Nashville passes. Even though Eichel would be the true number 1 center they've been searching for and getting Duchene off the books would be great, Preds are not in a contending position as of now. Giving up arguably the best goalie prospect in recent years and a potential top 10 draft pick in a great draft class, doesn't make sense for Preds. Plus with the possibility of Forsberg not being resigned, Tolvanen now becomes the LW to take his spot on the top line. Eichel would be a phenomenal add for the Preds, the timing just isn't right.

I agree for the 1st round pick, I added a condition.
The addition of a key player like Eichel can be a good way to convince Forsberg to resign, since the team will become competitive right away.
With Eichel, they become contending. They still have one of the best Dman in Josi and one of the best goalie last season in Saros. Giving Askarov is huge, but the guy isn't ready yet and could still flop. I think depending on Poile evaluation of is team, he could do the trade.

I wouldnt touch this with a 10 foot pole. Goalies dont have that kind of value.

I'm not too interested in Eichel, but that seems pretty favorable for NSH -- all things considered.
