The All Rookie Camp Buzz Team

Created by: NHLfan10506

Initial Creation Date: Sep. 20, 2021

Description
From what I have read, sounds like these guys all had strong camps.

I didn't watch more than a few clips, so am relying on what beat reporters are saying.
Best reviews appear to be of Perunovich, Mercer and Lysell.

Who else made an impression?

sharks have a few, I didn't see much from Ozzy, but I like him a lot! sharks were high on the work from merkley, Kinazev, Eklund, and Gushin.

Dmitri Samorukov was turning heads at Rookie Camp but sadly after playing the Calgary goons he's out for 6 six weeks with a broken jaw. Also in that game with 4 minutes left in the game one of the Calgary players crosschecked Xavier Bourgault into the Boards.

If he had a contract put Wyatt Johnston, he was by far out best player at only the age of 18.

I was complaining about him before, but now I love him.

Also Jacob Peterson and Riley Tufte both had pretty good camps.

Most Sharks reporters are saying Merkley stands out the most when he's on the ice.

Rossi was great, too! He scored 2+2=4 points in two games, if I'm not mistaken. One of the goals was a tying goal four seconds before the buzzer. Rossi also played physical and sound defense. His recovery has been incredible, and he has not lost a step. He has a legit chance of making the team out of camp.

Dmitri Samorukov on the shifts he played was phenomenal. A lot of blocks and hits.

WIesblatt, Eklund, Hatakka, Merkley and Ibragimov all had a strong camp. But yes, Merkley and Wiesblatt really stood out.

Trust me, as good as Reichel looked during the Wild/Blackhawk showcase.

It was the Boldy and Rossi show all weekend long. They were heads and shoulders above everyone else. Including Reichel, who did look pretty good for the Hawks side of things. But to be blunt, due to the fact that Chicago had like half their AHL team there, they naturally controlled the vast majority of the two scrimmage games due to their size and speed. Didn't matter. Boldy and Rossi just kept flipping some internal switch and would take the games over and would come up clutch every single time. The Wild prospects came from behind in both scrimmage games to take the eventual win in both.

If any of you want to watch either prospect game, if you have the time or find this stuff interesting. Watch them. They were both highly entertaining games and are both well worth the watch. I have yet to watch the others yet but plan to work my way through them as well, as time allows. I especially look forward to the NJ vs NYR and the NJ vs BOS games.

But, given just how dominant Boldy and Rossi were, I have a hard time seeing too many guys having had better prospect camps then them. But again, that's with the caveat of not watching the other's yet. Just that for me, personally, that bars going to be set pretty freaking high for the others to have any chance of outperforming either Boldy or Rossi.
