Florida will have cap issues if they take on Granlund at full salary

Sending Matt Duchene going back to Colorado would be the most devious thing David Poile could dream up

Not enough of a return for Ekholm (even without retention). Much too much for Duchene, sadly.

Forsberg is a good player, but getting two firsts for a rental is so rare it’s not even worth considering.

You're going to have to retain a heck of a lot more to move Duchene. That's a contract that just won't quit. I think you'd have to 50% to get a 1st and probably no less than $3M to move him in general.

Duchene was a nice enough guy in the community but he burned some serious bridges in the locker room and no way COL would take him and more importantly than contract back.

Duchene hit the big 3-0 a while ago and has 55 points in his last 100 games I don't think his 'pedigree' and track record will be enough for him to have + value

I mean I really hope not Confused

Especially to a relatively savvy team like Colorado

I dont know though. Look at what CBJ got for Foligno for TOR, a much lesser rental. Wasdnt it like a 1st and a 4th and less retention for a much lesser player? Two 1sts wouldn;t be out of the question, especially for an EDM team desperate to deliver
