Why in the world would Buffalo retain / paying jack 10m dollars over the course of the contract while also not even getting Laf, Kakko OR a single first?!

Both trades heavily favor the Rangers

No one is taking Kreider's contract and awful offer for Eichel retained

As in the description. What changes in picks make it work. Be real. Buffalo ask was 4 first which they won't get. This is 3 first and 3 seconds. How far off?

I don’t think there are enough picks in the world for Buffalo or Boston to consider even the remote possibility of accepting either trade and that’s coming from a Rangers fan.

You're also asking them to retain 2M for 5 years. It's gonna cost more than this.

And remember Quality>Quantity. The Sabres rather keep Eichel instead of trading him retained for a lackluster offer

Semantics. Two 1sts and a 3rd would be Kakko, Lafreniere and Fox???

As a bruins fan I think this favours the bruins.

Kreider is equal to or better than Foligno
Strome better than Debrusk and solves Boston’s 2C issue. I’d do that trade now.

That’s zero first. Actually including first would help

Nothing fixes the boston deal. Not taking kreider

And did you forget about Kreiders massive contract? Sure he may be right now but in 3-4 years, that contract is going to be horrible

That’s outrageously dumb. Kreider has a horrible contract

He posts ridiculous stuff all the time. I don’t think he considers contracts

Boston declines. Foligno has an NMC. Kreider’s term is of no interest.

But this argument is flawed, it is not about quantity, its about quality. If i offered you 20 total pieces made up of 5th round picks and career AHL players, you would laugh right? But if I offered you a Lucas Raymond and Moritz Seider...? sounds like it might be worth something.. I doubt they get 4 total 1st round pieces, but i really doubt they would entertain a trade for a bonified 1st line C superstar under contract without including 1 of Laf, Kak, or a 1st.. While ALSO retaining 2m? Its not even close to reasonable IMO, i think if the Rangers want Eichel THINK LIKE YOU RUN THE BUFFALO SABRES and your job depended on doing a good job, would you make this deal? No you would not..

Buffalo will get the equivalent of 4 firsts. I guarantee it.

Won't this put Boston over the cap? They are sending about $7.5M to NYR but they are getting $11M in return.

It does not solve the 2C problem because Strome isn't a 2C....he's a product of Panarin and the numbers back that up.
