I think a 1-1 is relatively fair but I don’t think van would bite on it unless contract talks go really sour.

nah pettersson is in another tier. kap is stronger on the puck and a better skater but he doesn't do anything else anywhere near as well as pettersson

I’m a huge Petersson fan and love watching him play, but your assessment is wrong. Kaprizov is every bit as talented (or more)! His tenacity is amazing!

You clearly are discounting pettersson. Pettersson has some of the best analytics in the NHL, plays a 200 foot game and has proven a lot more in the NHL than Kap while being two years younger
