Why trade away so many depth pieces right before a playoff run?

No one is going to give the Leafs a 2nd for a #6-7 dman - especially not Nashville.

One prospect Los Angeles WON'T be trading for is ANY center. Plus, there have been numerous reports that Rob Blake won't trade Brown or Jonathan Quick anywhere that they don't want to go.
