Description
Got some of these ideas from @joshelkin.

We know lou loves his vets and locker room guys. Pavelski and gio fit that perfectly. I could see them both taking a slight discount to finally try to win a cup.

As for MAF he said he might retire. But idk if he wants his career to end on the back of that exit from VGK. To get stabbed in the back like that and find out about it on twitter was disgraceful. I could see him potentially come here to try to win 1 more cup to finish off his career on a high note.

Officially forsberg is unhappy rn and though he might sign an extension with NSH i would bet against it. Hes a scorer that can really help take this team to a new level.

Bailey is a vet that does a lot of things well. Hes a consistent 50 point scorer and while hes on the downaide of his career, he will only have 2 years left. It could be any team, but i picked OTT bc they have guys on elcs still and are at the stage tk try and make the playoffs. Bailey will bring experience and leadership to a young group plus elevated playoff performances.

Oilers and varly have been proposed so many times bc it makes so much sense. As long as LL and BT believe in sorokin and get a competent 1B/backup varlamov could be available.

5 mil is a lot for a 32 year old who isn't a goal scorer. I don't think Ottawa is the fit for Bailey.

Maybe not. It could be seattle or a different team looking for a 2nd line winger. Even though hes not a goal scorer hes still good for 50 points a season. Bc of the contract/age all im getting back is a 3rd. I think thats very fair for a 50 point winger.

there are teams who would want bailey more. I could see the Bruins, Kraken, Oilers and Kings interested. Maybe the Sabres if they somehow keep Eichel around

I would personally do it for that price. Bailey would be a good stop gap vet. Cap space won't be a problem for the foreseeable future so it depends on how much Melnyk is ready to spend

The right side is currently the team weakness. Both RD and RW. Bailey would help in the meantime

Id rather get less and get actual feedback than take too much and just get decline 16 times.
