You and the other dude keep making this similar trade to Seattle. I know you and I go back and forth, but are you really looking at Seattle's roster?

Let's just assume that Gio is not going to be back there after this season. That leaves Oleksiak, Dunn, Soucy, Lauzon and Fleury on the left side. Yes, I know Fleury and Lauzon can play both sides, but it's really irrelevant almost. Where does Pettersson fit? Oleksiak and Dunn would clearly be ahead of him, so why do they need to spend double the money on Pettersson to play the third pair instead of Soucy? Soucy is also no slouch.

I think you're way off on the salaries:
1) Letang has been reported to want market value, so I think even if he signs for less it's not much less than he's making now.
2) Geno isn't taking that much of a discount. My guess is around the $7M mark.
3) The Zucker trade? I guess it's possible. If he rebounds this season and LA still has a hole to fill on a middle six winger, then Zucker would be a good fit.

I don’t see the pens going after forsberg so that probably won’t happen. I can see trochek plus giving the rookies a shot next year while also hopefully bringing back geno and Letang
